Go-to-market advice for a voice AI startup

As strategic advisor to the Co-Founder and CEO of Movable Voice, I help shape go-to-market strategy, commercialization, and enterprise adoption for Workfone, a voice app built for frontline work.

01

The context

Movable's product, Workfone, turns field workers' spoken reports, site walkarounds, and work calls into structured compliance and operations records that feed FSM, CMMS, ERP, and EHS systems. It targets field-service industries including security and patrol, facilities, fire and life safety, and manufacturing.

That is a world I know from the inside. At Securitas I operated within a field network of roughly 90,000 people across 580 North American offices, so I have seen first-hand where frontline documentation breaks down and what it takes for enterprise buyers to adopt new tools.

Enterprise AI rarely fails on the model. It fails on procurement, security review, change management, and the device in the worker's pocket.

02

The challenge

Find the segments where an early-stage company can build traction fastest.

Navigate the organizational and regulatory barriers to enterprise AI adoption.

Address security and bring-your-own-device (BYOD) concerns in frontline deployments.

03

My role

I serve as strategic advisor to the Co-Founder and CEO of Movable Voice, advising on go-to-market strategy, commercialization, and enterprise adoption. The wider advisory ecosystem includes senior operators from PolyAI, Beekeeper, Rilla, and Virgin Media O2.

04

How I approached it

Sharpen the go-to-market

I partner with the CEO on GTM strategy, the commercialization roadmap, and product-market fit, including steering early pipeline toward high-velocity, mid-tier enterprise targets.

De-risk enterprise rollout

I advise on the organizational, legal, and regulatory barriers enterprises raise, and on the change management needed for adoption.

Address BYOD and security early

I help the team frame BYOD security considerations so they become part of the pitch rather than a late-stage objection.

Spot white space

I draw on enterprise operations experience to identify white-space opportunities and position the company within the enterprise voice AI landscape.

05

Current advisory focus

Sharper targeting

Early sales focus steered toward high-velocity, mid-tier enterprise buyers.

A clearer adoption story

Organizational, regulatory, and BYOD barriers addressed in the commercial approach.

Operator perspective on the board

Field-operations experience applied to product and market positioning.

06

What I carry forward

Sell to the buyer who can say yes quickly.

Early traction beats a perfect logo list.

Handle objections before they are raised.

Security and change management belong in the first conversation.
